Rennes defensive midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will be Real Madrid’s priority for the next transfer window, according to a report from Spanish newspaper MARCA. Camavinga, who is still 17 years old, has been impressive in the French Ligue 1 so far this season and appears to be one of the most talented prospects in the world of football.
Real Madrid feel like Camavinga could be the perfect backup for Casemiro and that he could improve and reach his potential by learning from the Brazilian midfielder. They’re not the same kind of player, though, as Camavinga is a better passer and distributor and could be a brilliant central midfielder when needed.
Camavinga fits Real Madrid’s transfer policy to perfection, even if Los Blancos would likely need to spend close to €70 million to sign him away from Rennes. However, the current situation with the coronavirus outbreak could have a huge impact in the transfer market, that being the reason why Real Madrid have not made an inquiry about Camavinga just yet, per MARCA’s report.
