Real Madrid academy left-back Miguel Gutierrez announced this Wednesday that he has reached an agreement to stay in the club until the summer of 2024. Gutierrez is a regular for Real’s Juvenil team and will spend next season with Real Madrid Castilla.
Feliz. Así es como me siento después de renovar por el @realmadrid. Es muy ilusionante ver como el club que confío en mi hace años sigue haciéndolo. Gracias a todos! #HalaMadrid pic.twitter.com/whFdiKJPhm

“Happy, that’s just how I feel after signing a contract extension with Real Madrid. I’m so excited to see that the club who trusted in mi so many years ago still have that faith. Thank you everyone!” tweeted Gutierrez.
Gutierrez had received interest from other clubs in Spain, according to a report from MARCA. Real Madrid increased his salary and his release clause to make sure that the club has the ultimate decision about Gutierrez’s future.
It won’t be easy for Miguel Gutierrez to earn a spot in the first team considering that the club just signed Ferland Mendy this past summer and that Sergio Reguilon appears to have the potential to be a relevant player in the future as well. However, Gutierrez is only 18 years old and has many years to reach his potential and improve as a player.
