Takefusa Kubo played 81 minutes in Mallorca’s big 1 - 2 away win over Eibar today. Eibar is a direct rival in the relegation battle, and this win now puts Mallorca level on points with 17th place Celta Vigo with a game in hand.

Kubo, who was deployed on the right but roamed centrally often, didn’t have many offensive contributions today. He was the subject of six fouls, and only attempted 15 passes in his 81 minutes — completing just 60% of them.

But after some great work from Mallorca right-back Alejandro Pozo to win the ball in midfield, Kubo found himself at the top of the box. Let’s be honest, his right-footed shot was tame, and should’ve been dealt with — but his winning goal gives Mallorca a massive three points.
