According to a report posted by Fabrizio Romano on Thursday, Real Madrid lead the race to sign prodigy Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes. 17-year-old Camavinga, who was born in Angola but has French citizenship, has perked the interest of many big clubs due to his performances as a defensive midfielder this season in Ligue 1.
As Kiyan Sobhani and Lucas Navarrete discussed on yesterday’s podcast, his numbers are off the charts. If he is signed, he likely wouldn’t see many minutes right away, and a loan (over the course of a few years, like Achraf and Odegaard have endured) is on the cards.
Romano states that Zinedine Zidane is a huge endorser of Camavinga, which ultimately puts Real Madrid in the driver’s seat.
