The rebuild of the stadium is expected to end right before the start of the 2022-2023 season but it’s going quicker than expected because of the lack of football games in Spain right now, which is allowing the workers to speed up the whole process.
The new Santiago Bernabeu has always been on Florentino Perez’s mind and the president finally approved this project during 2018. It will cost the team €400 million but the board are expecting to increase the revenue during every single game thanks to the new hotel and stores inside the stadium, which also features a roof and a new scoreboard.
It will take a while before we can actually see what the Bernabeu looks like in real life but the club will not need a new stadium for many, many years.
