Real Madrid are expected to bring back young right-back Achraf Hakimi as soon as his loan deal in Borussia Dortmund ends this upcoming offseason, but it seems that Los Blancos will also receive offers for Achraf. Dortmund would like to keep him, Bayern Munich appear to be interested in signing him and now Paris Saint-Germain want Achraf to replace Thomas Meunier, according to reports from MARCA and Foot Mercato.
Apparently, Real Madrid want Achraf to compete with Carvajal for the starting spot as soon as next season. Still, the player knows that it will be very hard to win that battle and he wants to keep playing relevant minutes, that being the reason why he’s not entirely convinced about staying in the Spanish capital next season.
If coach Zinedine Zidane thinks that Odriozola is good enough to back Carvajal up when he isn’t available, Madrid could decide to sell Achraf if the offers are right.
In the end, it’s quite obvious that Los Blancos should send Odriozola to another loan deal or even try to sell him while keeping Achraf in the squad for next season. That said, Zidane will need to rest Carvajal more often in order to keep Achraf engaged and in good condition.
Counter offer: No. Plus ban Meunier from football. https://t.co/inhdVjQf23
