Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, currently on a loan deal with Arsenal talked to DAZN in an interview and shared his thoughts about his future.
“I saw Zidane in Valdebebas a few months ago when I was recovering from my injury and he told me that he watched my games with Arsenal. I have a good relationship with him and he always told me that we are similar players in the sense that I need to play very often in order to be in good condition. He always told me that my future is in Real Madrid and that I needed to be patient because I will likely have a chance,” revealed Ceballos.
The midfielder has never been a relevant player for coach Zidane and the truth is that he will likely need to leave the club next summer considering that not a single report in the Spanish press considers him a candidate for a spot in the midfield.
His loan deal in Arsenal has not been a success either and Real Madrid will likely want to part ways with Ceballos if Zidane stays as the coach as expected.
Ceballos signed for Real Madrid for €20 million and has not reached the potential he had. He can still be a useful player on a quality team, but he might never be the elite player he was projected to be.
