Sergio Reguilon is one of the best young full-backs in the world. The Real Madrid academy graduate is garnering interest from up to 10 different clubs across Europe according to ABC Deportes. The clubs interested include Arsenal, Tottenham, Borrussia Dortmund, PSG, and Sevilla. As Ferland Mendy’s agent indicated last year, top quality left-footed fullback’s are a rare commodity in the transfer market.
Arsenal fear they could lose Bukayo Saka, who is in the last year of his contract, and Tottenham are looking to offload Ryan Sessengnon. Meanwhile, PSG is set to lose Kurzawa after his contract expired and would be looking to fill the void. Sevilla would struggle to compete with these other clubs on an economic offer, but could win the race if the decision is to extend Reguilon’s loan for another season.
ABC reports that no decision has been by the club regarding Reguilon’s future. Madrid would ideally like to loan Reguilon out for another season or sell with a buy-back clause. If Real Madrid can buy themselves one more year with Reguilon, they would be able to re-evaluate Marcelo’s position at the age of 33 and rank the growth of academy full-backs Fran Garcia and Miguel Guttirez - who are both highly rated.
