Ajax Amsterdam attacking midfielder Donny Van de Beek talked to Helden magazine and addressed his future. Real Madrid appeared to be his most likely destination but Los Blancos seem to have lost their interest after a somewhat mediocre season from him.
“Playing under the sun is a nice feeling but I still have not studied Spanish and I haven’t made my decision, everything is still open,” said Van de Beek when asked about Real Madrid.
The midfielder also talked about what he will need to make up his mind.
“I must have positive feelings about a club, it’s not only about them showing interest, I also have to be a good fit and obviously the minutes I’m going to play as well,” he added.
The Spanish press have reported in the past that there’s a €55 million agreement between Real Madrid and Ajax for the Dutch player. However, Real Madrid might as well decide not to accept that deal if they’re finally inclined to sign either Eduardo Camavinga or Fabian Ruiz to upgrade their midfield line.
