Valencia wonder kid Ferran Torres in on Real Madrid’s radar for the next transfer window, according to a report from MARCA. Torres’ contract with Valencia expires in 2021 and his club might need to sell the player if he doesn’t sign a contract extension next summer, given that he could leave as a free agent in June 2021 otherwise.
Torres is a talented winger who operates through the right flank, a position of need for Real Madrid right now. He’s only 20 years old and has been contributing for Valencia for the last two seasons, so he has experience in La Liga and the Champions League.
He has a €100 million release clause on his current deal with Valencia. That clause isn’t relevant considering that his contract expires a year from now, so if he’s indeed willing to leave Valencia, Peter Lim and the rest of the board will be forced to sell the player if they don’t want to lose him for free.
