AC Milan are considering Luka Jovic as an option to upgrade their offensive line, according to a report published today on Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport. Still, Milan know that Real Madrid want to keep the young attacker around after spending €60 million to sign him away from Eintracht Frankfurt a year ago. Even more so knowing that they wouldn’t be able to sell Jovic for that amount of money due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which will affect the transfer market.
In fact, Real Madrid told Jovic that they still count on him, according to reports published on the Spanish press a few weeks ago.
Jovic is still 22 years old and definitely has the potential to become an elite attacker for Real Madrid, even if his debut season with the club has clearly been a disappointment. The Serbian striker is currently recovering from a foot fracture he suffered during the quarantine and will likely miss the remainder of the season for the club, so he will have to work hard during the 2020-2021 pre-season in order to be a relevant player next year.
