In what was the club’s first training session in two months, Real Madrid returned to training today in what was an unorthodox session. But, as different as it was, this is the new normal for the next month or so.
Following strict protocol set out by La Liga, the team broke down their sessions in a way that doesn’t have everyone training at the same time. The training was broken down in two sessions at two different time slots. Even those smaller sessions were spread out over several pitches to follow the social distancing guidelines.
Overseen by head coach Zinedine Zidane, players trained both with and without the ball. Luka Jovic worked indoors, as did Mariano Diaz who has some discomfort in his right foot.
