Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are ready to battle over the signing of Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, according to a report from Sky. Bayern seem set to complete a move for Manchester City’s Leroy Sane and will let Coman go, per that same report. The German side would try to get around €60 million for Coman.
Coman will turn 24 years old next month and has been with Bayern for the last five seasons after leaving Juventus.
He’s a winger who can play through both flanks, although he’s right-footed and is more comfortable on the left wing. That wouldn’t make much sense for Real Madrid, considering that Eden Hazard plays in that spot, although Sky’s report mentions that Los Blancos want Coman as a replacement for Gareth Bale.
Still, it seems highly unlikely that Madrid decide to spend that much money on yet another winger, considering that players like Asensio, Vinicius or Rodrygo need minutes to keep developing. Take this report with a grain of salt, even if Coman is indeed an intriguing player to keep an eye on.
