Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro talked to the team’s TV station and revealed how the team’s return to training at Valdebebas is going. Los Blancos have been training this whole week and will have one more month to get ready before La Liga restarts.
“The work we did at home was crucial, we did everything that was sent to us. The players are doing a fantastic job and it’s easy to tell that they trained at home. We kept our conditioning and we can tell that when we’re on the pitch,” explained Casemiro.
La Liga want to return to the games around June 12th and Casemiro is a fan of such idea.
“It’s such an important step for football but also for society as a whole, we can prove and tell people that they can do it. It’s not about playing football but also about being on the streets. I think that if we’re able to follow to protocole, we can come back,” he said.
The next month is going to be crucial for Madrid, as they’ll need to get every single player —including the recently recovered Asensio and Hazard— ready for competitive games.
