Real Madrid are not alone in the chase for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the young attacker, according to a report from MARCA. The French club have set their eyes on Haaland because Kylian Mbappe still refuses to sign a contract extension while both Cavani and Icardi could be leaving the club in the next transfer window.
It was obvious all along that Haaland would not only be on Madrid’s radar. His age and the success he’s had this season make him one of the most appealing prospects for elite clubs, so Real Madrid will have to battle with other clubs and offer Haaland —and his agent Mino Raiola— a good deal if they truly want to sign the striker.
The situation is similar to what happened when Mbappe left Monaco to join PSG. Real Madrid initially appeared to have reached an agreement but the French side offered the young attacker a better deal —and the possibility of playing in his hometown— and ended up getting the player.
This time, Madrid will have to make sure their offer is good enough to convince both Haaland and Raiola.
