It is still not clear what the future holds for Achraf Hakimi. The Morrocan would be open to a return to Real Madrid, but wants guarantees over his playing time. With Dani Carvajal still at the club, and an undisputed starter for Zinedine Zidane, Achraf may not be convinced that a return to his boyhood club would be the best move for his career.
Given the constant transfer speculation, Achraf’s agent has addressed the media with some comments to Sky Sports Germany where he refused to rule out Achraf remaining at Dortmund. “Achraf is the best in the world in his position, along with Trent Alexander-Arnold,” Camaño said. “All of the big clubs in Europe want him and of course Real Madrid are one of them, but Dortmund remains an option for us. We’ll wait and see.”
The 21-year-old has become an attacking juggernaut at Dortmund with 7 goals and 10 assists to his name this season. He’s show his versatility playing in a number of different roles for the club from LB to RW, but now consistently features as RWB in a 3-4-3 formation for Lucien Farve. Managing Madrid have been covering his performances in depth on the Loan Tracker podcast including last weekend’s full analysis of his first performance back since the Coronavirus pandemic brought a stop to all football.
