Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez has given the green light for La Liga to restart the 2019-2020 season on the week of June 8th. While that would allow La Liga to host a game that very same Monday, CEO Javier Tebas has said many times in the past that June 12th was his choice, so it’s safe to assume that the first match will be played on June 12th between Sevilla and Betis, a thrilling Andalusian Derby after more than two months of stoppage because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Real Madrid’s first game will be at home against Eibar and the club will probably host it at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in Valdebebas so that the work can continue at the Bernabeu. Every La Liga match will be played behind closed doors for the time being.
Real Madrid have been training for the last two weeks and will have more time to improve their conditioning and form ahead of the restart of the competition. The schedule will be extremely busy or every club as La Liga will try to finish the season in one month, meaning that the coaching staff will have to do their best to keep every player fresh and avoid injuries.
