According to Italian journalist Antonio Vitiello — a reliable source when it comes to circles in Milan — AC Milan have “started a dialogue” with Luka Jovic’s agent to see if there is an option to sign the Serbian.
Vitiello states that the relationship between Milan and Real Madrid is good, especially after the Theo Hernandez deal, but that Real Madrid are not interested in selling the player. But would be open to the possibility of a loan deal to get Jovic back on his feet. That scenario, where Milan get help in their attack and Real Madrid have an opportunity where they allow Jovic to develop in a strong league rather than seeing his development stall on the bench in Madrid, could serve mutually beneficial.
