Stade Rennais coach Julien Stephane has talked about his promising midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. Stephane seems sure that Camavinga will stay in the French club at least another season now that Stade Rennais have secured their presence in the next edition of the Champions League.

“Everything is in place for him to stay another year with us, it would be good for him. He’s in the right environment and with a club who trust him, surrounded with people that know him to perfection,” said Stephane.

The French coach believes that Camavinga will have to prove his potential in the Champions League next season.

“He will have to prove that his performances this season were for real. That will be his next step, we will see what happens after. His potential is huge, but we know how difficult elite football is. We have to let him develop so that he can enjoy playing football, which is the most important thing for him now,” concluded the coach.

Real Madrid were reportedly interested in signing Camavinga this next summer, and while they could still secure his signing during the upcoming transfer window, it looks like the midfielder will play for Stade Rennais next year.
