Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez appears to be on his way out of the club as soon as the transfer window opens. While some reports suggest that Atletico de Madrid want to spend close to €25 million on his signing, it now seems that Inter Miami FC are also interested in the Colombian playmaker.
A report from Goal.com indicates that Inter Miami owner and former Real Madrid galactico David Beckham called Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to ask about James’ future. James is not on coach Zinedine Zidane’s plans and almost left the club in the summer of 2019, so Madrid will likely want to part ways with the midfielder.
Inter Miami football director Paul McDonough confirmed to Inter Miami’s own weekly show OnSide that his club want to sign “two elite players” who can raise the reputation and quality of the club.
James could be one of them given that his contract with Real Madrid expires in 2021, something which could ultimately force Madrid to accept a cheap offer for the Colombian player.
