Real Madrid have confirmed that the squad will be back in training on Monday, May 11th. The club announced it through the schedule on Realmadrid.com. The players made their return to Valdebebas this past Wednesday to undergo tests for Covid-19, with all of them testing negative, according to reports from the Spanish press.
Therefore, coach Zinedine Zidane had the green light to resume training and chose next Monday as the date to go back to work. The players will have to live at the Valdebebas residence for the foreseeable future and only six of them will be allowed to be on the field at the same time. No contact between them will be allowed yet and they will have to keep a certain distance during the first few weeks.
La Liga plans to resume matches behind closed doors in June, so every club in the competition will have a bit more than a month to complete a small training camp to get their players ready. For example, Atletico de Madrid made their return to training this Saturday.
