Dani Ceballos has not had an easy season during his loan deal with Arsenal. The midfielder hasn’t been a crucial player for the London-based club and it looks like he will have to find another club when the transfer window opens. His former teammate in Betis Adrian San Miguel —now with Liverpool— said in an interview with El Desmarque that the midfielder would like to make his return to his hometown club.
“It’s his decision. I know that him being a Betis fan he would love to return. The situation would have to come to fruition because he’s a Real Madrid player, but you always like to come back home. I think if he has the chance to do that, considering that he’s still very young, he will have the chance to prove his worth. So why not?” said Adrian when asked about the rumors.
Ceballos has not been in coach Zinedine Zidane’s plans and Martin Odegaard’s potential return to Real Madrid would only make things tougher for him. Betis could be the perfect scenario for him to turn his career around, but it might be hard for the Sevilla cub to submit a quality offer for the midfielder, so another loan deal is probably coming Ceballos’ way.
