Real Madrid published a medical report about Lucas Vazquez, who missed Sunday’s match against Eibar with a calf strain.

Following the tests carried out today on our player, Lucas Vázquez, by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with a soleus muscle injury in his right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Vazquez’s injury could be problematic considering that there’s only a month left in the 2019-2020 La Liga season. While he should have time to recover from this minor injury, it’s clear that coach Zinedine Zidane and the rest of the coaching staff will need to be cautious given how tricky muscle injuries are, even more so in this current scenario.

Luckily enough for Real Madrid, Los Blancos have depth on that right wing. Players like Rodrygo, Bale, Vinicius, Asensio or even Brahim will likely get some minutes in the upcoming games as Madrid don’t have an undisputed starter in that spot.
