Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has talked to Spanish radio station Onda Cero, where he shared some thoughts about his future and details about his current loan deal with Arsenal.
“My relationship with Zidane is good, but I have not talked with him. He’s focused on his current players,” said Ceballos.
When asked about his plans for the upcoming season, the midfielder was clear.
“When my loan deal expires I will be a Real Madrid player again, my goal is to succeed there one day,” he added.
It hasn’t been an easy season for Ceballos in Arsenal. He hasn’t been a key player for the London-based club but the midfielder now expects to be a starter under Mikel Arteta.
“I had to miss so many games because of an injury but I worked very hard to turn things around. I have a very good relationship with Arteta ever since he signed for us, he gave me confidence and now I’m focused in finishing the season the best way I can so that we can reach our goals,” concluded Ceballos.
Real Madrid seem determined to stay put in the transfer market this summer because of the Coronavirus pandemic. These months without games have had an impact on every club’s revenue and that could give Ceballos a chance to stay in the Spanish capital past the transfer window.
However, he’s never been an important player for coach Zinedine Zidane, so it’s likely that Madrid still tries to part ways with the midfielder.
