Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is now playing for Arsenal on a loan deal, talked to Cadena SER and once again shared some thoughts about his future and where he will play in the 2020-2021 season. First of all, Ceballos confirmed that he will stay in London until August 1st as his loan “has been extended because of the Coronavirus pandemic.”

“When we get to the end of July I will have some days to rest and then it will be time for me to consider and think about my future and where do I fit and feel comfortable considering that next season we have the Euro and the Olympic Games,” said Ceballos.

The midfielder explained that he will have the final call about his future and his next club.

“I am the one who has to make that decision about where I feel more comfortable playing so that I can be with the Spanish national team next summer,” he added.

Ceballos was then asked about potentially staying in Madrid. The midfielder believes he needs to play important minutes, though.

“I would need to think about it. Next season I want to feel relevant, I want to play and it would not be easy for me to do it in Madrid because of how well they’ve played this season. We’d have to sit down, have a talk and then make a decision,” explained Ceballos.

He then mentioned Betis as a potential destination for him.

“Betis is an option, I’m not saying ‘no’ to any club beforehand. The Spanish league suits me but I’m also happy in Arsenal and I owe them respect because of the eight games left on our schedule,” concluded the midfielder.
