Real Madrid have published their squad list for Sunday’s match against Espanyol.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Areola, Altube.
Defenders: Carvajal, Militão, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Javi Hernández, Miguel Gutiérrez.
Midfielders: Kroos, Casemiro, Valverde, James, Isco.
Forwards: Hazard, Benzema, Bale, Asensio, Brahim, Mariano, Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo.
Luka Modric will not be with the team after seeing his fifth yellow card last Wednesday. Real Madrid are very thin at the midfield spot right now but Zidane will likely rely on Casemiro, Valverde and Kroos for the three spots in that line, and all three of them have been starters all season long.
Espanyol just sacked their coach Abelardo today and announced that Rufete will be his replacement. They’re fighting to avoid relegation and Real Madrid should expect a tough match considering that Espanyol will surely play with intensity.
