Can Real Madrid win and build a two-point lead over Barcelona?

Real Madrid are the only team in La Liga who have won out so far since the return of the competition. Los Blancos were two points behind Barcelona in La Liga table and now they have the chance to be two points ahead of them if they beat Espanyol tonight. Zidane will be without Modric and Mendy, who saw their fifth yellow card last Wednesday.

On the other hand, Espanyol are fighting to avoid relegation after what has been one of the worst seasons in the history of the club. Rufete will be their coach after the club decided to sack Abelardo going into this game.

That doesn’t mean that Real Madrid will have an easy task against them. Espanyol have the potential to be a dangerous team and they have their backs against the wall, so Madrid should take this game very seriously if they want the three points.

Expect Real Madrid to come out firing on all cylinders in order to get an early lead which would pave their way to the three points.
