Real Madrid attackers Luka Jovic and Lucas Vazquez rejoined the squad in training this Thursday having successfully recovered from their injuries. Both players could be available to play with the squad very soon, even next Thursday when Madrid host Getafe. Defender Nacho Fernandez is now the only player in Real’s injury report.
While neither Jovic nor Vazquez are expected to play a relevant part for Madrid in the remainder of the 2019-2020 season, their presence still adds some depth for coach Zinedine Zidane, who will likely need to make some rotations down the road if he wants to keep having success while having his players fresh for the next game.
Real Madrid have been the only team in La Liga winning out since the return of the competition and are currently two points ahead of Barcelona in the table. So far, Los Blancos have avoided serious injuries and have a healthy squad, which is a very important asset going forward considering that they will be hosting Getafe on Thursday and then facing Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
