Real Madrid are set to offer €70 million for Stade Rennais midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and want to complete his signing in the upcoming transfer window, according to a report from French radio station RMC.
While most reports suggested that Camavinga appeared set to stay in his club for at least another season —which would give Real Madrid a chance to save money this summer after the Coronavirus pandemic— it now seems that Los Blancos are determined to sign Camavinga as soon as possible in fear that other big clubs could get involved in 2021.
Stade Rennais want to keep the talented midfielder for at least another season and Madrid could always decide to let him play in the Ligue 1 for another season so that he could keep getting minutes as a starter and develop, knowing that it will be extremely hard for Camavinga to get relevant minutes next season.
Overall, it seems that Real Madrid have set their eyes on Camavinga and consider him the perfect candidate to upgrade the midfield line. Now it’s all a matter of when they want that to happen.
The @CastillaCorner crew talk about the @PabloRamonP and @SergioRamos comparisons and why they are quite apt in Ramon's case.
