Real Madrid’s visit to Leganes is a meaningless one, at least for Zinedine Zidane’s men, who already secured the 2019-2020 La Liga title with their win over Villarreal last Thursday. For Leganes, however, it’s an entirely different story. They are one point behind Celta to avoid relegation and desperately need to beat Real Madrid and hope that Celta don’t win theirs, given that Celta hold the tiebreaker.
That’s why, considering what’s at stake and how tough and intense Leganes should be playing, Zidane will probably make rotations in this game. Hazard didn’t make the squad list and will try to get 100% ready for Madrid’s upcoming match against City in the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16. Bale, James and Marcelo were not included in the list either.
Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Lucas Vazquez, Militao, Nacho, Mendy, Valverde, Isco, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Asensio, Jovic.
Leganes predicted XI: Cuellar, Tarin, Bustinza, Siovas, Rosales, Mesa, Amadou, Silva, Gil, Ruibal, Guerrero.
Zidane should focus on keeping his players fresh and healthy after what has been a very busy and tough month for them, so I’m expecting full rotations here.
