It is now official — Achraf Hakimi is joining Inter Milan and will sign a contract that keeps him at the Italian club until 2025. Real Madrid will bring in €40 million + €5 million in variables from the sale of the 21-year-old.
Early last week, reports had circulated that a deal between Real Madrid and Inter was imminent. Much to the dismay and shock of many Real Madrid fans, the Moroccan preferred to have a starting position and play under Antonio Conte where he can thrive in a wing-back role. Managing Madrid’s Kiyan Sobhani provided all the details and nuances to the transfer here.
The transfer was announced on Real Madrid’s official website earlier today:
“Real Madrid C.F. and Inter Milan have come to an agreement on the transfer of Achraf Hakimi.
The club wants to thank Achraf for all his years of dedication, professionalism, and exemplary behavior since arriving as part of our cantera in 2006. The club wishes the player the best of luck in this new chapter”.
Time will tell if Real Madrid and Achraf’s paths ever cross again, but for now he must continue his development at Inter Milan under the guidance of Antonio Conte.
