Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, currently playing for Arsenal on a loan deal, has completed some brilliant performances for the London-based club since the return of the Premier League after the quarantine. Ceballos talked to Sky Sports and revealed that he doesn’t know what the future holds for him.

“Right now, I’m only thinking about my next few games because if we win them we have a chance to clinch a spot in the Europa League. After that, I must stay calm and return to Real Madrid because they have to make a decision, given that I have three years left on my contract with them,” said Ceballos.

The midfielder also explained that he wouldn’t mind extending his loan deal in Arsenal, where he’s happy and playing relevant minutes.

“The truth is I’m very happy in Arsenal, I have a year of experience here and it would be easy for me to return, I wouldn’t need to adapt to a new league or a new team with a new coach and different teammates. I think it’d be a good step for me, but my future is in Real Madrid’s hands and I don’t know their decision right now,” he added.

Ceballos also explained that he believes he has improved as a player this year.

“I think I have improved quite a lot. The truth is that I’m a better player both tactically and technically, I will try to do my best in every position the coach asks me to play,” he explained.

If Real Madrid aren’t going to sign any big players this summer as president Florentino Perez told the press a week ago, it would make sense for Los Blancos to keep Ceballos in order to add some depth to that midfield line, even more so considering that James is expected to leave and that coach Zinedine Zidane has used a 4-5-1 formation in some games.

However, Zidane has never been a fan of Ceballos and it’s likely that the club tries to sell him or at least extend his loan deal in Arsenal.
