Real Madrid and Villarreal have already started the negotiations for the transfer of midfielder Oscar Rodriguez, who spent last season playing for Leganes and completed some very impressive performances. Villarreal’s presence in the 2020-2021 edition of the UEFA Europa League would be decisive for Oscar to join the team, according to a report from MARCA.
Madrid want to get €20 million to let Oscar join Villarreal on a permanent deal but ultimately that fee could be decreased if Villarreal agree to include some kind of buy back option for Madrid in Oscar’s contract.
Oscar has been brilliant for Leganes this season and it’s no surprise that a club like Villarreal want to sign him. In fact, other big teams like Milan, Sevilla or Getafe have also shown their interest in the Spanish midfielder.
With Real Madrid wanting to make money off their players this summer, it looks like Oscar won’t be around next season, even if his presence could be useful to add some depth to the team’s midfield line.
