According to Corriere dello Sport, Real Madrid, Lazio, and Borja Mayoral’s agent will meet next week to discuss the possibility of the 23-year-old joining the Italian outfit. Borja Mayoral has spent the last two seasons on loan at Levante and his current contract with Real Madrid expires in 2021. With his contract expiring next summer, Real Madrid would look to cash in on the forward this summer before letting him go for free next season.

Lazio’s sporting director, Igli Tare, came out earlier this week and spoke about the club’s need for a forward and even commented on the Mayoral speculation. “He is a player who has made an important career, but, at the moment, the only thing clear is that Lazio from next season onward will look for one or two forwards,” he said.

Along with Lazio, a few Spanish clubs have been rumored to have interest in Mayoral — all Valencia based outfits: Levante, Villarreal, and Valencia. Madrid would likely look for a fee in the region of €5 - €10 million given the healthy competition for the player.
