The road to the 2019-2020 La Liga title isn’t getting any easier for Real Madrid. Zidane’s men visit Athletic’s San Mames barely two days after what was a tough home match against Getafe, and they’ll do so without Raphael Varane and Eden Hazard.

Athletic have been playing great football since the return of the competition and are even fighting for a spot in the Europa League next season, which would be impressive considering their somewhat poor start to the campaign.

It’s clear that Real Madrid have also been impressive and in fact they’re the only team who have won every single game after the quarantine. Los Blancos have a four-point lead over Barcelona and could afford two draws on their last five games and still win the title. That said, the three points against Athletic would be crucial for Madrid to make a statement and prove that they want to win La Liga in dominant fashion.
