Eden Hazard is a major doubt to play Real Madrid’s next match this coming Friday vs Deportivo Alaves.
The Belgian has had a round of tests completed on his ankle yet again after feeling quite a bit of pain during the Espanyol match. Earlier today, Hazard took part in some of the group training, but later moved to work individually.
According to reports from El Laguero the tests done on Hazard’s ankle have not shown any fresh damage, but Real Madrid do not want to take any risks with the player. Fortunately for Madrid fans, Vinicius JR has stepped up in the Belgian’s absence and has been influential figure in the final third with his electric pace and unique ability to take a player on 1 v 1.
After Hazard missed out on Real Madrid’s last two matches vs Getafe and Atheltic Bilbao, the winger has amassed 24 games loss through injury this season — by far his worst injury record to date.
