Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio recapped the 2019-2020 season on his Instagram, where he explained how tough it’s been for him to recover from the ACL injury he suffered a year ago.

“A different 2019-2020 season comes to an end, it’s been different and difficult for everyone but we achieved to win the Spanish Supercup and a peculiar Liga title, which we will never forget. Personally, it’s been a season full of obstacles and a very tough one, but it gave me a beautiful reward for my hard work. Now it’s time to rest and I will be back stronger next season. Thank you for your support,” wrote the Spanish attacker.

Asensio will be expected to be a crucial player for Real Madrid next season, and even an undisputed starter. Considering that Madrid will not make any big signings this summer, his return to the team will improve the team quite a lot.
