According to the report, Real Madrid communicated their intent to “break the pact” and recall Ødegaard after the Champions League elimination and the season officially ended. Mundo reports that Zidane is “obsessed with counting on the Norwegian for next season.”
Given the impact of the Coronavirus, Martin Ødegaard may be the only new incorporation to the Real Madrid squad. Prior to his injury, the 21-year-old was arguably the best player in La Liga. Can he recover and manage his tendinitis in the off-season and stake a claim as a Real Madrid starter? Time will tell.
