Napoli are the last club being named as one of the potential destinations for Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon, who appears to be set to leave the club after a brilliant loan season with Sevilla. The Italian side are ready to compete with other big clubs like Chelsea for the signing of Reguilon, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

While it would make sense for Real Madrid to just extend Reguilon’s loan deal with Sevilla and wait one more season until Marcelo’s contract expires so that the young left-back can compete with Mendy for the starting job, it definitely seems that Los Blancos are willing to let him go and cash in some money in the process.

It’s worth mentioning that Madrid are now focusing on selling some of their reserves after the Coronavirus pandemic, which had a huge impact on the club’s budget. In that context, Reguilon and Achraf are quite possibly the two players who could’ve stayed in the club but ultimately were sold to make money and keep the club on a good financial situation.
