Former Real Madrid goalkeeper and legend Iker Casillas talked to Spanish magazine Semana and confirmed that he will return to the club, as reported a few weeks ago. While Casillas explained that nothing is done and signed yet, seeing him talking about the matter all but confirms the fact that he will be back with the club fairly soon.

“Nothing is done yet but I hope my next step is in Real Madrid. My departure from the club was traumatic, but it’s my home. We broke just like when a marriage get a divorce and some things were said out of context, but everything gets calm after some time. After two or three years passed, I had a more calm relationship with Florentino Perez and he told me that I had to return to the club,” reveals Casillas.

If the reports were accurate, Casillas will take on a role as a consultant for Florentino Perez.
