Luis Enrique has announced his Spain squad ahead of two UEFA Nations League matches vs Germany and Ukraine in September.
A lot of new faces have emerged, which makes this new-look Spain squad pretty fun. Among the new names are Adama Traore, Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia. Even more exciting to those reading the article: Oscar Rodriguez has been called up after another excellent season on loan at Leganes, and Marco Asensio makes his return for the first time since his unfortunate injury last summer. Sergio Reguilon has also received a much deserved call-up after being one of the best left-backs in La Liga this season.
Of Oscar, Luis Enrique said: “He has proven to be a very interesting player in all facets: He decides well and has an exceptional shot. It associates very well. I want to see it in our context, with players who promote that football.“
Isco did not make the cut.
