AC Milan have begun discussions with Real Madrid to sign Brahim Diaz on loan with the option to buy, according to Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sports Italia.
Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan side will be looking to qualify for the Europa League in the coming weeks and have identified the boy from Malaga as an offensive reinforcement for the new season. It’s not yet clear whether Madrid would be open to providing an option to buy clause or if Brahim Diaz would accept such a proposal with other offers reportedly coming in from Getafe, Real Betis, and Granada for a strict one year loan.
It’s not just Brahim Diaz that AC Milan are targeting, they have consistency been linked with Luka Jovic and Oscar Rodriguez as well. Paolo Maldini is expected to meet with the Madrid senior officials in the first week of September to discuss similar opportunities to the Theo Hernandez deal. The Rossoneri hope to strike a deal for all three, but would look to purchase outright at least one of Oscar Rodriguez or Brahim Diaz.
