AC Milan have emerged as one of the candidates to land Real Madrid midfielder Oscar Rodriguez, who played last season on loan with Leganes. Oscar performed brilliantly this season and has received interest from clubs like Villarreal, Getafe and now Milan, according to a report from AS.

Real Madrid would like to keep half of Oscar’s rights and expect to sell the other half for around €10 million, and affordable price for most European clubs wanting to upgrade their midfield line.

While it seemed that Oscar was ready to join Villarreal, the midfielder has received interest from other clubs and Real Madrid appear to be considering other options which could be more lucrative, something quite valuable in this current context.

Keeping half of Oscar’s rights could be valuable as he is still 22 years old and could grow into a very solid midfielder capable of making an impact in Real Madrid, even if only as a backup.

Milan would be a good destination for Oscar as he would get valuable minutes in a quality club who get a ton of pressure every single season.
