Getafe have announced on their official website that they’ve sent Spanish attacker Hugo Duro to Real Madrid Castilla on a loan deal for the 2020-2021 season. Real Madrid will have the option to buy the player permanently after the loan expires, Getafe confirmed.
Duro is a promising attacker who will turn 21 years old next November. He also made the squad list for Spain U21 in the upcoming match against Macedonia. Duro made his debut for Getafe in 2017 and coach Pepe Bordalas has used him often ever since, although he was not a regular contributor for their first team.
AS reported today that Castilla coach insisted on signing Duro for his 2020-2021 team as he believes he can be a high-quality player in the Segunda Division B. If Duro keeps showing his potential under Raul, Real Madrid could very well decide to buy him and see if he has the ceiling to become a first-team player.
