Real Madrid is reportedly willing to wait for the right price on Sergio Reguilón, according to Marca.
The rumored asking price from Real is currently between €20-25 million, which falls in line with previous reports on what the club is looking for in any transfer.
The rumored moves consistently have been to either Chelsea or staying with Sevilla full-time. With Chelsea recently purchasing Ben Chilwell they’re likely out of the race for him.
Marca reports that both Manchester United and Tottenham are “following” as well as both Inter and Juventus. Inter are reportedly close to signing Emerson from Chelsea so they likely won’t be involved either.
It seems like the most likely outcome is that Reguilón will return to Sevilla permanently. He had a wonderful season there and he was a big part of their success in both La Liga and their trophy winning season in Europa League. It’s clear that the club and Julen Lopetegui would want and need his services.
It’s a shame to see Real likely on the verge of selling another fabulous young talent as they did with Achraf Hakimi and Theo Hernández. Reguilón really looks like he’s going to be a great fullback for years to come and he impressed in his rookie appearances with Real in the 2018-19 season.
The rumored asking price seems a bit low personally speaking considering how his season went and his great potential for the future. But, it also makes no sense to hold him back when Marcelo is still here and Ferland Mendy is ready to challenge for the starting spot.
