Real Madrid attacker Reinier Jesus, who will spend the next two seasons playing for Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal, talked to Brazilian TV channel Esporte Interativo and shared some thoughts about his experience training with Madrid’s first team for the second half of the 2019-2020 season.

“I learned a lot in those training sessions. I got to know players with different qualities, I was so happy about training alongside them, those players I grew up watching. It was wonderful and different,” said Reinier.

The Brazilian talent then explained why it’s different to train with them.

“The game is much faster, you can’t think too much. That’s how elite players are, you must play the ball with your first or second touch, you don’t have time to think. It was a great experience. I’m so happy about my two months in Madrid, it is a wonderful city,” he explained.

Then, Reinier was asked about Raul, who coached him in Castilla and conquered Real Madrid’s first UEFA Youth League this past week.

“He’s a great person and a great coach. I played three games with him and got two wins. He likes to play quality football. They deserved that title in the Youth League. Raul is a legend and deserves that title, just like the players. I’m happy for them all,” concluded Reinier.

The talented attacker will try to gain as much experience as possible during his loan deal in the Bundesliga, and while he will most likely come off the bench early in the season, it will be interesting to see if he can establish himself as a starter in such a quality team like Dortmund.
