Real Madrid Training: August 6th

We are almost done our coverage for the day — winding down a jam-packed day of content on the eve of Real Madrid’s win-or-bounce, season-defining game against Manchester City on Friday.

Today had a bit of everything. Two podcasts, some Bale drama, multiple pressers, an open thread, and plenty more. We’ll have a match preview tonight, then get back at it tomorrow, with plenty of pre and post-match content.

There wasn’t a whole lot to report from tonight’s training session at the Etihad, other than the team itself had a jam-packed day as well. They left Madrid this morning, and upon touching down in Manchester, went to their hotel — The Lowry, on the banks of the River Irwell — and then headed to the Etihad for training and press conferences.

Tonight’s session was the last one before Real Madrid take the pitch against City tomorrow. The team started with ball-based drills, and then moved into fitness exercises and scrimmages on reduced-sized pitches before moving into crossing and shooting drills.

Everyone trained normally.
