Today’s session at Valdebebas — the second of the week — consisted of vigorous physical drills and aerobic work without the ball. These exercises were spread across three separate pitches, and were followed by ball control and shooting exercises.

A heavy list of players who are called up to international duty did not feature. Of those still around, three trained separately. Dani Ceballos, with his departure looming, trained alone on the grass; while both Mariano Diaz and Brahim Diaz worked out indoors.
