Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane talked about Toni Kroos in an interview published on Real France, where he praised the midfielder and revealed his attitude inside the dressing room.

“Everything in his life is about football and family, nothing else matters. He will be remembered as a spectacular player, one of the all-time greats in his position,” revealed Zidane.

The coach was asked about what qualities make Kroos one of the best midfielders in the world.

“He’s so good that he can play as a number 6, as a central midfielder or also as an attacking midfielder. He is always calm and that is his main virtue, he’s never nervous. It fascinates me the way he uses both legs, I could think he’s left-footed!” added Zidane.

Kroos is a quiet player who is never on the spotlight. The French coach explained Kroos’ behavior with his teammates.

“Toni doesn’t talk a lot, he’s a quiet guy, but when he talks is because he has to talk. He can talk to anyone, coach, members of the board or teammates and he doesn’t shy away from that. I’ve seen so many discussions and arguments where his participation has been crucial,” concluded the coach.

Kroos was one of the main reasons behind Madrid’s success last season. The midfielder bounced back from a disappointing 2018-2019 campaign and proved he deserved the contract extension he got, becoming a crucial figure in Real Madrid’s title-winning roster.
