Real Madrid and Manchester United are close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon, according to a report from MARCA’s Jose Felix Diaz. Madrid would be trying to include a clause to have the ability to bring the defender back in the future and the deal could be worth around €25 million, per that same report.

Reguilon is still training at Valdebebas as a Real Madrid player, and while the latest reports suggested that he would be keen on spending another season on loan with Sevilla so that he can make his return to Madrid in the future, it now seems that he will be a Manchester United player.

If that’s the case and the two clubs reach an agreement, it won’t be easy for Madrid to bring the young defender back. United will be reluctant about including a buy-back clause and Los Blancos are apparently trying to get an option to match any future offer for Reguilon, similarly to what they did with Mariano two years ago.

Expect more news about Reguilon very soon, considering that deadline day is getting closer and closer.
